1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is dry and wet includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. The system is equipped with dual laser LiDAR that is similar to that used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan a space that is up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. This translates to more accurate mapping and faster response times and greater cleaning accuracy.
It also comes with a rotating mopping mat made of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub hard areas than traditional mopping. In my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models that seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able to navigate the corners and edges of my rooms, as well as make “Zambani patterns” across the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station regularly to empty the trash bin and wash the mop with hot water prior to beginning another clean-up job.
Like other Ecovacs products the X2 Omni is simple to set up and begin using. Snap the dock into position then plug it in and connect it to your WiFi network at home. It takes just some minutes. You can then launch the app to start your first cleaning project. I was able to modify my floor plan in about 15 minutes. This included creating limited areas for sweeping and mopping and rearranging the layout of wall-mounted furniture and much more. The X2 Omni performed admirably during my tests. It scored highly in the areas of pet hair removal as well as debris removal, and also achieved near-perfect results in edge and crevices cleaning.
2. Deebot T10 Omni
The ECOVACS T10 Omni is an extremely powerful vacuum and mopping machine. It is the most advanced model of the T-line of the brand and comes with a new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system which uses dual-spinning brushes for more effective cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbing. It also comes with YIKO built-in, a unique natural language processing tech that can respond to a range of voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you plan your home, make cleaning schedules and modify settings.
The most significant issue with the T10 Omni is that it’s unable to switch between mopping and vacuuming in one go. The two modes require that you attach and take off the mop heads according to the need which is great for most homes, but not suitable for people with busy lifestyles.
However, the Deebot Omni is an excellent robot vacuum that has impressive results in our tests for pet hair. It removed more than 96% of debris from our hardwood floors. This is an excellent performance. It did an excellent job on carpets and tiles and removed the majority of dirt.
This robot vacuum and mop has a large docking system that lets you clean the mop pads automatically using cool water for the mop pads. It also features an auto-emptying 3L bag that is easy to replace, and hot air drying for fast and simple maintenance. It also has a large water tank that allows for more frequent rinses and dry between mopping runs.
Like other mopping machines, the Deebot T10 Omni has a wash tray in its base that cleans and dries its mop pads when it uses them. It doesn’t have a tray that can be removed, which means that dust, dirt and other grime will slowly build up in the bottom.
3. RoboVac X8 hybrid
This is the first mopping model from Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It has upgraded intelligence with multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that adjusts automatically to the floor you’re cleaning. It’s a mid-range robot cleaner that’s appealing even if its claim of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn’t quite come true.
The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular form, the sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated sensor. On the opposite side, you’ll see a motorised floorbrush and a single side brush that pushes dust away from the edges and into the main path of its’mouth.’ It’s a bit smaller than the main brushes on the rival iRobot Roomba S9, which I found to be easier to access under sofas and chairs.
Its mapping system is reasonably sophisticated and allows you to set no-mop zones, as well as specific cleaning zones. However it is prone to bump into things (including its charging dock) and isn’t always great in climbing over rugs. It was good at getting pet hair off of the floor. In our tests it was able to pick up 89.5 percent of kitty litter.

These buttons can be used to create no-go areas and view real-time maps. It’s also a bit chatty, and will inform you of what it’s going to do next (start cleaning) or notify you if something is wrong.

It also maneuvers perfectly around furniture legs. It also comes with an impressive feature set that includes two cleaning modes and a self-emptying dock and a real-time obstacle avoidance system. It’s Wi-Fi enabled and best controlled through the Neato app where cleaning can be scheduled and the overall maintenance requirements are monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for large homes with a mix of hard floors and carpet, but it requires some advance planning to avoid getting stuck on toys, power cords or other unexpected obstacles.
This robot was very successful during our tests on hardwood floors and kibble. It ate everything, from one rice grain to a variety of dog food pieces, with just one pass. It had some trouble transitioning to rugs, but in general this vacuum cleaner is perfect for rooms that have flooring of all kinds and a variety of pets.
It is a bit pricey however, if you are able to handle the cost this is a great option for those who wish to leave their home free to do other tasks or complete chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning feature that increases suction to get rid of difficult dirt or spills. It also has a battery-powered ElectroWall to define the boundaries of the robot.
This budget-friendly robot from a popular new brand is the most affordable we’ve ever tested and offers exceptional value for the money. The basic navigation system employs a super-basic random pathing algorithm that isn’t equipped with room mapping capabilities, which makes it less time efficient than the other models on this list. It’s still able to get under furniture and into corners. And its mopping mode performed well in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.
5. Shark iQ
Shark’s iQ isn’t as sturdy as the Roomba S9, but it does a better job overall in getting rid of pet hair on all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning carpets with low piles as well as floors that are not covered. It also utilizes smart-pathing navigational software for greater maneuverability. It also allows you to transfer it to a particular room, and its sophisticated set of automation features include no-go zones as well as scheduling. It also allows you to stop and restart cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes with pets.
Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent tangles and can hold up to 30 days of dirt. It also has an assortment of angled side brushes that penetrate into corners and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander and allergens for a cleaner air.

The iQ excels for cleaning floors that aren’t clean, and is able to do an adequate job with carpets with low pile and shaggy edges. However it doesn’t provide the same level autonomy as our top choices. It’s also costly, and its recurring costs can become expensive over time.
