The Q Revo is a good option if you’re looking to buy a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It’s a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features found in its more expensive sibling.
In tests, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard floors. It doesn’t employ LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to locate your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the touch of one button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough maps of your space to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.
This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn’t lose suction as rapidly as some other models, and it can even remove pet hair without difficulty. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush however iRobot promises that the next models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It’s the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It’s a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with a superior filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. We think this is a nice claim however, best Buy Roomba vacuum it’s not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and create virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is even better because its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.
The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but it’s a small cost to pay for if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac’s dust tank is also larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.
In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very little noise, so you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. If it comes across a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it before moving on.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the hidden bin and also cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.
You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo treats your abode. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there’s clutter that needs to be cleaned out frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you can want. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best floor vacuum mop known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it’s still quite large–it’s more than two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds–the robot itself and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.
The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate remove tough stains and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we’ve seen in an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that has a range of features that aren’t typically found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the screen, you’ll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it to its base station. The center of the control panel has an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can modify how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house. This creates a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop efficiently without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4% of debris from our hard-floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
