The Q Revo is an excellent option if you’re looking to buy an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard flooring. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn’t utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. It’s easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of the button. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn’t lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It’s the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It’s an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system that blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think it’s a nice statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember your home’s layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on more expensive models. The mopping system is superior – its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.
The only issue is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that’s not a big deal when you’re looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac’s dust tank is also larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.
For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move away when it encounters one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.
You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. That’s a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there’s a lot of clutter that must be cleared out frequently, like toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend wiping them dry using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you’d expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, and the mop’s rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in both height and depth, and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even when you’re at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.
The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we’ve tested thanks to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we’ve seen in the market for a consumer robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren’t often found on robots in this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are useful but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury and could mean it’s a little more expensive than what some homeowners require.
Designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that’s enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving through the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you’ll find one button that basically acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This produces a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn’t as great at tackling sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
