Hasyim added that in the 2024 Regional Elections, the KPU RI will also adopt special polling stations to ensure the fulfillment of citizens’ voting rights. “To ensure that our citizens within the designated electoral areas can still vote, such as workers in plantations and mines who cannot return to their TPS at the address on their ID cards, special location TPS will be prepared,” Hasyim emphasized.
“Therefore, once they are determined by the provincial, regency, or city KPU as candidates or pairs of candidates participating in the 2024 Regional Elections, they must immediately submit a resignation letter as elected candidates,” said Hasyim at the Parliament Building in Senayan, Jakarta (15/5/2024).
Typically, the Pilkada is conducted in two phases, specifically the local implementation and the legal dispute process at the Constitutional Court (MK). “Usually, if the Pilkada is held twice, it means what? Preventing Conflict Before the 2024 Pilkada Hadi Tjahjanto provided a special message to the TNI, Polri, and BIN for the security of the 2024 concurrent Pilkada. Hadi urged that regions with possible conflicts must be anticipated before security issues arise. He said this while giving instructions in the Coordination Meeting of the 2024 Pilkada organizers in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on June 26th, 2024. “Specifically TNI, Polri, and BIN. BIN was also attending, in the mapping of regions, must determine regions with potential conflicts to anticipate security disturbances before they occur,” said Hadi. “TNI, Polri, and BIN have to be vigilant, aware in advance, so that they can anticipate any possible issues,” he continued. “I urge that the upcoming broadcasting bill aligns with the ideals of a democratic state that respects the nation’s character and the noble values of Pancasila. KPI’s future role must be strengthened to effectively fulfill its duties, represent public interests, uphold national morality, and support the unity of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI),” said Ma’ruf.

After several processes and judging, assisted by the Department of Culture and Tourism and cultural practitioners, the judging team selected the Buffalo, designed by M. Indermawan, as the first winner. The winning mascot was adorned with Muna Pa’a (traditional Dompu weaving) and Sambolo (the Dompu tribe headband).
