The best robot vacuum and mop combo (click the next document)
The Q Revo is a great choice if you’re looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that’s priced in the middle. It’s a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.
During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. It does not use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do, to locate your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top 360 robot vacuum vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
It’s easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is in place you can begin the automatic vacuum cleaner robot cleaning with a single button. You can select the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn’t lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot says that future models will be better.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on improving edge and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo corner cleaning. It’s the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It’s a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think this is a nice claim but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is even better as its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.
The only downside is that it lacks a second rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but it’s an affordable price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you’ve got the most dirt.
As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very little noise, so you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it comes across the wall or a piece of furniture it gently bumps into it before moving along.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.
You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors with the first pass. It can even remove wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you can need. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive–it’s nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds–the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you’re not at home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of just following a specific path.
The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we’ve tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren’t typically found on robots in this price range. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It’s also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features but they also make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than homeowners need.
Designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that’s highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there’s one button that serves as the on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it back to its base station. The central control panel is an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will bring up the app’s settings menu where you can modify the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn’t as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
