The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great option if you’re looking to buy a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn’t use LIDAR however, as other models do to identify your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.
Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can select the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn’t lose suction as rapidly as some others do and can clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It’s not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve with future models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It’s the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It’s a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It’s a nice claim, however, we’re not convinced that it’s enough to justify the premium price tag.
Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping feature is even better. Its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but that’s an affordable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.
As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving forward.
What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it’s designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and also washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something is in need of attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also create and combine rooms to modify how the Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or there’s clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best robot vacuum deals performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first go. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

Although it’s still quite large–it’s more than two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds–the robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Lastly lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, allowing you to manage it even when not home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a set path.

This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with children or pets.
